Built to serve the 46th World Bank and International Monetary Fund Meeting during October Sirikit National convention center was named after HM the Queen with its grand opening presided over by Their Majesties on August 29, 1991.

The Center is made up of Zone A, B, C and D, the surrounding of which is decorated with arts and crafts from all regions of Thailand.

Location: Sukhumvit Road between Soi 22-24, Klong Toey

This 29-rai Park was built after the relocation of the Meteorological Department to Bangna-Trad Road as the Location is considered not ideal for weather predictions. It was named Benchasiri and dedicated to HM the Queen on the occasion 60th birthday anniversary in 1992.

Outstanding is the arrangement of plants that reveals 70% of the sky beauty. Its 20% area made into a water park serves the public with flood relief as it helps keep rainfall before regular drainage. Also interesting are the 18 sculptures; musical fountain; Buddha Teaching and Music in the Park. Open daily between 05.00-21.00 hours.

Location: Where Charoenkrung Rd. meets Rajini Road, further opposite the Grand Palace

Originally was a royal park in Saranrom Palace—a residence for he royal family and overseas guests in the reign of King Rama  V, and a venue for winter fair in King Rama VI’s reign, Suan Saranrom  has interesting monuments including the Memorial of King Rama  V’s beloved Queen Sunatha and Princess Daughter Kannabhorn Petcharat in the southern center; the old Chiness-styled Shrine of Chao Mae Takianthong in the north; and the Plant School. Etc.

Open daily admissions free between 05.00-20.00 hours. From here is possible to walk to the Artillery Museum at the Ministry of Defense.
