Having been the holiday’ seaside town for the US armies since the Vietnam War, it is unbelievable that Pattaya has achieved the world fame as one of the very popular seaside towns. A lot of foreigners know Pattaya more than the name Thailand.
It seems that Pattaya. Nowadays, is very crowded with worldwide tourists but it still preserves the attracting beauty especially Na Chom Thian Beach located only 4 km from Pattaya.
Chonburi is the nearest resort town from Bangkok can be visited conveniently and takes least time and is the least tiring trips, full or fun. It is said that beauty of the beach and great fun are not the parallel things. Pattaya is the good example.
Attractions: Due to the fact that Pattaya is the very popular touring town, Thai Government has set the special administration here called City Menagerie since 1978 having 4 sub districts under administration which are Na Klua, Nong Preu, and Huai Yai (some area) Nong Pla Lai including Koh Lan, Koh Klok, Koh Phai and Koh Sak.
Pataya’s trip covers four areas: Na Klua, Pattaya Nua, Pattaya Klang, Pattaya Tai and Chom Thian Beach.
Na Klua Beach: is the community area located north of Pattaya Bay. It is good for scenery viewing but not an appropriate relaxing place.
Pattaya Nua, Pattaya Klang: is not the crowded area right now while Pattaya Tai is very lively, full of entertainment, shopping centers and tourists.
Between Pattaya Tai and Chom Thian Beach is a mountain called Khao Phra Baht or Khao Pattaya accessible by asphalt road to the top where a small public park is situated. The area is favored for Pattaya people to go up and exercise here. From this mountain offers the panoramic view of Pattaya at the farthest sight during daytime and the colorful crowded town at night.
Chom Thian Beach: Located about 4 km south of Pattaya, the area suitable for the peace like tourists since Chom Thian Beach still offers the natural beauty and not crowded. The beach is 5 km long with the colorful clear sea, good for swimming and relaxing especially for children and adults. From the beach can make a visit to some attracting places such as Believe it or Not Museum, Cabaret Show, shopping centers and enjoy tasty international food at various restaurants.

How to get there
By Car: Bangna-Trat (Highway 34): Drive along Highway 34 from Bangna passing Bangpli and Bangpakong River to Chonburi with the distance of about 81 km. Motor Way (New Bangkok-Chonburi Road): Take the Motor Way at Ramindra Road before reaching Fashion island Department Store or at Rama 9 Rama 9 Road (Sri Nakarin Crossroad) or at the outer - ting road, Bangna - Trat Road after passing Sri Nakarin Crossroad. The total distance is about 68 km and can proceed to Highway 36 to Bangpra or Pattaya.
Sukhumwit Road (Highway 3): Take Highway 304 and turn to Highway 314 to Bangpakong District. Then turn to Highway 34 to Chonburi with the total distance of 93 km.
Minburi-Chachoengsao (Highway 304): Take Highway 304 and turn to Highway 314 to Bangpakong District. Then turn to Highway 34 to Chonburi with the distance of 135 km.
Go To Pattaya by Bus
Take the bus at Ekamai Bus Terminal: First-class air-conditioned bus or regular bus) and get off at Muang District, Phanat Nikhom District, Sri Racha, Pattaya or Sattahip.

Ekamai bus station, where you could get at ticket to a bus to take you to Pattaya, southeast of Bangkok.

Got To Pattaya By Train
Although it is not quite popular to travel by train to Chonburi like driving, the train service interests many tourists during the holiday (Saturday and Sunday). There is also the train service between Bangkok and Plutaluang of Sattahip.
