How to go to Phang Nga Province Thailand by Bus, Air, and Car
At the present time, Phang Nga’s attracting places are not only Phang Nga Bay, Surin Islands and Similan Islands but it is well known worldwide for the name “Khao Lak”. Each year, foreign and Thai tourists who like Phuket’s atmosphere but prefer more peaceful area usually visit Khao Lak Beach and spend the nights here. It is not far from Phuket.
Go to Phang Nga by Car.
By Car Despite feeling a bit tired for the long distance of more than 800 km, it is good to enjoy seeing nature along Highway 4 or Petchakasem Road.
When arriving at Chumphon, the gateway to the Southern Region, take Highway 41 of fore lanes to Surat Thani and then turn right to Highway 401 for 40 km passing Ban Ta Kun District. Continue driving to Ban Pang Guan Neuo Cross road and turn left to Highway 415 about 50 km. When reaching the cross road and turn right straight to Phang Nga.
For Mu Kho Surin trip, having to board the ship at Khuraburi which is Ranong Province, tourists will have to use another route passing Ranong. When reaching Chumphon, go further along the road of two lanes curving up and down the mountains passing Khuraburi District to Mu Koh Surin National Park office not far from the pier and park your car at this area. If you plan to visit Phang Nga after Mu Koh Surin’s trip, drive to Kog Loi Sub District, turn left to Takua Thung District and go to Phang Nga Town taking 788 km. a shorter distance but steep and curved roads. Nevertheless, it is more convenient to go along the highway to Surat Thani firstly and then for ward to Phang Nga where the road is of asphalt, you will be impressed by the wonderful view along the way, the so-called “Mae Hong Son of the South”.
Go to Phang Nag Province Thailand by Tour Bus
Starting at the Southern Bus Terminal, the first route passing Khuraburi and the second one to Surat Thani and Phang Nga or to Phuket and get off the bus at Phang Nga.
Bangkok-Phang Nga new route: leave Bangkok in the evening and reach Phang Nga at early morning except the second-class air-conditioned bus which leave Bangkok in the morning and arrive at Phang Nga at night.
Bangkok-Phang Nga old route: passing Khuraburi and Ta Kua Pa. For tourists of Mu Koh Surin, Koh Phra Thong, get off the us at Khuraburi, the bus will leave in the morning and reach Khuraburi nearly dawn.
Go to Phang Nag Province Thailand By Air
Thai Airways and Bangkok Airways operate daily flights between Bangkok and Phuket. At Phuket International Airport, take the bus back to Phang Nga about 87 km. The buses (Phuket-Trang) leave the airport every hour.
