How to get there
By car: From Bang, take the Highway 4 (Phetchakasem Road) passing Nakhonpathom, Ratchaburi, Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan through Pathomphon junction, and turn left into Chumphon by the Highway 4001 covering a total distance of 498 km and about 6-7 hours’ drive.

At the Southern Bus Terminal, there are choices of services including VIP (24 seats) 1st class air-conditioned coaches as well 1st and 2nd class air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned buses taking about 7-8 hours. The journey usually starts in the evening to arrive in Chumphon in the morning, Besides Bangkok-Chumphon route. There are other routes right to the districts such as Bangkok-Langsuan, Bangkok-Lamae, or the southern routes such as Bangkok-Phang Nga, Bangkok-Suratthani, Chumphon of which is on the way.

Go To Thung Wua Laen Beach Chumphon Thailand By Train:
There are a lot of choices to make in taking trains to the south such as Bangkok-Surat Thani Express: Bangkok-Butterworth, Bangkok-Yala, with a stop in Chumphon, Though taking longer time than bus, the journey is more pleasant and safer in about 8 hours.

How to get there: After passing Prachuap Town and Thap Sakae District to the south, straight to Bang Saphan District, turn left at km. marker 382 to Petchakasem-ban Krud Road, Cross the rail line and forward to Ban Krud Beach Road totaling 9 km.

Unless there was the power plant case, Bang Saphan would not be well known until today. On the left side of Phetchakasem Road is Ban Krud Beach located about 9 km from the main road reached by using the by-path road stretching to the beach. The wonderful original nature is waiting to be touched.

Attractions:
Highlights of Ban Krud Beach is the long beach of 12 km along the small beach road shaded by coconut trees, the fruit which has been the sources of occupations of Ban Krud people for a long time.

The beach area is spacious without any construction and has not many tourists to spoil the original beauty except the clean brown san and the sea of moderate level for good swimming. The beach area begins at Khao Thong Chat at the north stretching to reach the southern tip.

On Khao Thong Chai, the moderate sized mountain accessed by asphalt road has the viewpoint offering the wonderful curved bay of Ban Krud Beach. There is also the prominent Phramaha Chedi Kao Yod (nine-spire pagoda) being constructed by the hands of Ban Krud people to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of His Majesty the King. Phramaha Chedi has the very outstanding beauty, both exterior and interior especially the stained- glass which narrates the Lord Buddha’s history, the out-door Buddha Image with the face of the Greek God or Kanthara Arts of India and the Shrine of Krommaluang Chumphon Khet Udomsak, Father of Thai Navy.

At the north of Khao Thong Chai, besides Ban Krud Beach is another beautiful beach, very shady of coconut trees and more peaceful. It is Thang Sai Beach of a few resorts where Khao Lamra is located at the beach’s tip, only about 300 m from shore. The wonderful shallow water coral reef is found at this area.
From Ban Krud Beach, you can proceed to Mae Ramphueng Bay and Bo Thong Lang Bay, another two attracting beaches. Driving along the quiet beach road is the charm of Ban Krud, the beach of original beauty and people’s lifestyles.

A lot of resorts are available along the shore line including restaurants near the foot of Khao Thong Chai which offer good scenery and cheap price. If you spend some days at Ban Krud, you can change the evening atmosphere to enjoy dinner here.
